Assessments

Every successful rehabilitation journey begins with understanding. A Specialist Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist (SROT) carries out a detailed, face-to-face assessment — at home, in hospital, school or work — to explore the client’s goals, daily challenges and environment. This builds a clear, practical picture of what’s needed to guide their recovery.

Overview

About Our Assessments

Each of Think Therapy 1st's Rehabilitation Needs Assessments identify the Client's personal goals, which inform the generation of therapy goals and a rehabilitation treatment plan.

Suitable for clients at any stage of rehabilitation, with complex or catastrophic injuries, assessments are typically completed within 10 working days of instruction and reports sent 10 working days after the assessment.

The process includes clinical assessments, an environmental review, and structured discussions with the client and any family members. This enables the SROT to understand how daily life is affected and present findings clearly in a comprehensive report, keeping the client’s goals at the centre and identifying any third-party input required to support their rehabilitation.

Client Focused

Each assessment centres the client's voice and goals, leading to personalised, meaningful recommendations.

Clear Reporting

Objective, clinically reasoned reports with defined goals and a clear plan for rehabilitation.

Streamlined Support

Timely input and clear planning without unnecessary layers of complexity.

Senior Associate, Personal Injury Solicitor

Think Therapy 1st have been pivotal in identifying, recommending and delivering a first-class rehabilitation package. The return to work was of the upmost importance and a significant goal for our client. Emma has been a vital linchpin in the rehabilitation process for our client and equally valued and trusted by both solicitors in the case to ensure the best possible input and outcome

Claimant’s solicitor

Think Therapy are different. They are not case managers in the recognised sense of the term. They are hands on therapists that work with injured claimants/clients to help maximise their potential. I have used Think Therapy on a number of my claims. While they are ‘claimant focussed’ and work closely with the client and their family, they don’t attempt to turn the case into something it isn’t and, refreshingly, will say when they think their job is done or can do no more.
