Clinical Solutions

Specialist Rehabilitation Occupational Therapists (SROTs) provide recovery-focused or participation- focused rehabilitation tailored to each clients needs. Therapy is delivered in the clients environments - at home, in the school, the workplace, and within the community- ensuring that progress translates directly into daily life.

Focusing on self-care, productivity, and leisure activities, rehabilitation helps clients regain confidence and independence.

On average, those who complete their recommended rehabilitation programme achieve 91% of personal goals and 97% of therapy goals. Some personal goals are not fully met as priorities shift or certain abilities cannot be restored, leading to the identification of new, meaningful goals.

Rehabilitation is structured to provide the right level of support at the right time, from intensive rehabilitation sessions multiple times per week to less frequent sessions as independence increases.

A Structured Pathway to Recovery:

Supporting clients in regaining physical, cognitive and emotional abilities:

01

Foundation Phase

Recovery-based rehabilitation at a manageable intensity, focusing on building a strong foundation for independence.

02

Skill Development Phase

Gradually increasing activity challenges to restore pre-injury abilities through restorative rehabilitation.

03

Transition Phase

Rehabilitation scales down as confidence and independence grow.

04

Therapeutic Ending

Once goals are achieved and maintained, the SROT consolidates progress  and creates a future-proofing plan for long-term success. Clients may transition into Key working for ongoing support or conclude active rehabilitation with the maintenance plan in place.

This structured process ensures rehabilitation is not just a series of sessions, but a pathway to lasting independence.

A Structured Pathway to Participation:

Supporting clients in taking part in meaningful activities when full recovery is not possible:

01

Foundation Phase

Rehabilitation at a manageable intensity, building a strong foundation for participation.

02

Skill Development Phase

Where full recovery isn’t possible, participation-focused rehabilitation supports engagement in those activities in a new way.

03

Transition Phase

Rehabilitation scales down as confidence and independence grow.

04

Therapeutic Ending

Once goals are achieved and maintained, the SROT consolidates progress and creates a future-proofing plan for long-term success. Clients may transition into Key working for ongoing support or conclude active rehabilitation, with the maintenance plan in place.

This structured process ensures rehabilitation is not just about reaching an optimal level but about returning to roles, responsibilities, and hobbies, supporting lasting independence.
